TICKETS FOR PREMIERE
When making the tickets on photoshop I thought that as one of our products it should resemble the movie well. I did this by using religious references such as 666 across the ticket and making 'The Gathering' title the biggest thing on the ticket. I also felt that as the movie has aspects of a teen slasher it should have blood on it to give hints to the audience as to what the content of the trailer is. I therefore retrieved an image of a blood splatter off the internet and photoshopped it into the ticket using magic wand and the blur tool. I gathered my inspiration from Odeon cinema tickets and liked how the film strip was used so I wanted to incorporate a similar image to highlight the cinematic experience. Again I used magic wand to ensure the strip fit in well with the ticket. The final details I added was the text reading 'once you see HER nothing can save you'. My intent here was to give the audience a clue about the gender of the villain and allow questions to start building in their head. This was reinforced by highlighting 'HER' in 'the gathering' title.

Titles and Font
Here is a Prezi on how I made the titles to the trailer. I used both iMovie and Photoshop to make the titles and used the fonts that they provided.

USE OF SOUND EFFECTS
The
sound clip below highlights some of the sound effects we used throughout out
trailer. We found that the majority of the sounds we included appeared to
elevate and get higher in pitch to come across as scarier and to build up
tension; this was included after the period of the disruption of
equilibrium.
After
putting in sound effects with music included, we started putting in diegetic
sounds such as heavy breathing and panting as well as door knocks and phones
ringing. We did this as after the production process, we found that most of the
sound made during recording was made fainter by music and other sound effects
put in during post production. The diegetic sound effects put in and heightened
allow the audiences to really understand how the characters are feeling and
this is especially important with the genre of horror.

THE GATHERING-Rough cut
We have put in some of the clips we would like to use and where the titles will go. There will still be more filming to do as well as editing at this stage.
Some of the things we would like to change would be adding more sound effects to add to the jump scares.
We would also like to film other clips some that we have more option and can fill in the blank spaces in the trailer.
There are some parts that don't make much sense due to the absence of dialogue and it would therefore benefit the viewer in terms of making the story line clearer should we add more dialogue.
Most of the clips are in the wrong place at the moment and we will need to look back to our storyboard to see where the clips fit best.
